There is something so sharp and sophisticated about a well put together, color blocked look. My very favorite color blocking combo is pink and red – I love the boldness the two colors each bring. And while I don’t wear a ton of red, there is just something so satisfying about pairing it with pink.
There is an entire science around the color wheel and how complimentary, analogous, and triad colors work well together. In this case, pink and red work well together because they’re beside each other on the color wheel (analogous).
When I’m color blocking, I typically like to stick with two colors for my main pieces, then choose an accessory to match one of the colors (in this case my shoes) and another as a neutral (here I went with leopard, my favorite neutral!).
I will be wearing this off shoulder knitted sweater all fall & winter long, with jeans & leggings. My skirt, shoes & clutch are old but I’ve found some very similar options here, here and here. Let me know in the comments below if you would try the pink & red combo!
