How to Style a Flannel Shirt: With Faux Leather Leggings
If you don’t already have a pair of faux leather leggings, what are you waiting for? They literally go with everything and are one of the most versatile pieces in my closet. They also happen to look great with a flannel shirt and flats! Here I am wearing my Moto leggings, which have become a favorite of mine this fall!
The key to style a flannel shirt with faux leather leggings is to have a somewhat oversized feel, so that you have some coverage over the leggings! I love these leopard mules to give a subtle print mix with the plaid flannel shirt. A crossbody purse completes the look!
PS here are 5 easy outfits for leather leggings.

What to Wear with a Flannel Shirt: With Jeans
I am a jeans girl through and through. I can’t tell you how many pairs of jeans I own, lol. One way I love to wear jeans in the fall is with a flannel shirt and a bodysuit or crop top. Flare jeans have been such a fun comeback this year, and look exceptionally great with a button down flannel and bodysuit.
Want to up level your outfit even further? Add an oversized denim jacket layered over your flannel shirt! I also still adore my white booties and put them on whenever I get a chance. These round sunglasses are super on trend and are a very affordable version of the Ray Band Icon sunglasses.
I have been wearing them like crazy and wasn’t sure if I would like the style, but I’m thinking of upgrading the Ray Bans because I’ve worn them so much! What do you think of the round sunglasses style?

How to Style a Flannel Shirt: With Leggings and Tennis Shoes
Moms, can I get an amen? Leggings are basically mom life in a nutshell, but a simple way to level up those leggings is to add a dressier top. A flannel shirt is both casual and comfy, yet makes leggings seem a little more pulled together. Add a tennis shoe and a baseball hat, and you have a classic, athleisure-meets-trendy look.
For chillier days, layer a faux leather jacket over your shoulders. I’ve had this faux leather jacket for years and it is super affordable! And my leggings are of course the beloved Align legging, which I own in way too many colors.
Pro tip: when you’ve had your Align leggings for a while, they may start to pill from natural wear and machine washing. Use this fabric shaver to remove those pills instantly and keep them looking brand new!

How to Style a Flannel Shirt: With a Dress and Booties
Are you noticing a trend? I love to layer flannel shirts in the fall! Layering just takes your outfit up a notch, not to mention the added benefit of warmth on these chilly days. If you’re style is a little more feminine or you are heading into the office, then styling a flannel shirt over a dress with booties is a great way to look a little more polished!
And this teddy sherpa vest adds the perfect amount of cozy. Here I left my flannel unbuttoned and open to show my Gucci belt around my waist, but you could easily button and knot it for another cute look! It is finally starting to feel like Fall here, so I’m so excited to start layering even more!
