Hard to believe it is already almost December! By now, you have probably made your lists and checked it once or twice – don’t worry, there is still plenty of time to buy for all the special people in your life! This year, we are feeling especially thankful for our kids teachers – so I started thinking about what special gifts we could give to let them really know how much we appreciate everything they do. I compiled this list of ideas for teacher gifts Christmas in case you need some inspiration!

Now lucky for me, I have the pleasure of having direct access to a Kindergarten teacher (no name dropping here, sorry!) and tapped into her for some expert advice when it comes to ideas for teacher gifts this Christmas.  When we were recently together and discussing our gift lists, I asked her what she likes, dislikes and possibly gets way too much of each year, being a Kindergarten teacher. As you might guess, teachers receive a LOT of Starbucks gift cards, which is certainly nice and thoughtful. However, there comes a point when you receive so many of one item, you are just never going to be able to use it all.  

Another item on this list? Tumblers.  Again, so thoughtful and a nice gift, but when you have 25-50 kids and multiple kids bring in a tumbler each year, you find yourself needing a closet to store them all.

Same goes for coffee mugs. Except for maybe this one.

Drum roll please – Target gift cards are ideas for teacher gifts Christmas that teachers can never get enough of.  Target truly is the gift that keeps giving, and unlike Starbucks gift cards, there is ALWAYS something you can find at Target on any given day.  Let’s be honest – those gift cards will be burning holes in teachers wallets everywhere!

If DIY is your thing, you will love these cute Pinterest finds, complete with free printable tags.  I’ve never been the DIY type, more of a Pinterest-fail mom, so I stick to store bought gifts myself. 

Lottery Tickets with free printable tag.  Lottery tickets are such a fun, under utilized gift!  There is something so exciting about scratching off each individual silver box on a lottery ticket. And why not give your kid’s teacher a chance to win big!  

 

 

Nail polish with printable tag. Gift your teachers some new polish for an at home manicure, complete with this cute little printable tag. I’m loving this gift set! These holiday clear cellophane bags add the perfect holiday touch.

 

 

Amazin Teacher Amazon Gift Card with tag. As I said before, who doesn’t love Amazon?  Accompany your thoughtful gift card with this adorable free printable tag.

Funny & Punny Ideas for Teacher Gifts Christmas

Our Child Might be the reason you Drink bottle tag. When I saw this on Pinterest, I actually laughed out loud, because well, this is probably accurate for at least one of my kids’ teachers! Again, no names 🙂

 

• If you Give a Teacher a Cookie – cookie jar with printable tag. Grab some amazing cookies from a local baker or make them yourself and pop them into an adorable mason jar.  This free printable tag is so cute to complete it, and is sure to be a hit with teachers. 

 

 

Retail Ideas for Teachers Gifts Christmas

No shame in your game if DIY is not your thing.  Check out these easy, add-to-cart ideas for all of the teachers on your list.

• Letterboard.  Fun for in the class or at home! Make it personalized with a cute message already on the board: to them, from your student!

• Nest Candle.  Because these smell amazing and last so long!  So many wonderful scents to choose from to get them through this holiday season.

• Diffuser.  Just in case candles are a no go in the classroom. Is this a rule? I don’t know.  But I love this brand so it is sure to smell amazing. 

• Inspirational Desk Calendar. Inspiring women by other women. This is such a cute little desk calendar. Plus who doesn’t need to know what day it is.

• Hot Chocolate Bombs. These became all the rage in the last 2 years, and the fade and fun isn’t going away just yet. If making cocoa bombs isn’t your thing, grab this set to gift your teacher for a sweet treat at home.

• Personalized Tote Bag. Gahhhh I love a personalized gift. This is the cutest bag for the teacher in your life to carry all of those essay papers to and from school.  

• Funny yet Accurate Wine Glass.  Grab this wine glass and a bottle of red or white, and you’ve got a cute and accurate gift sure to be enjoyed on a Friday night at 5pm in the near future.
