When OTK boots busted onto the scene years ago, I knew the trend would stick around for a while – I couldn’t be happier that they are still the ‘IT’ boot for the cooler seasons. Whether you are a leggings or jeans gal, or like to sport skirts & dresses on the regular, you cannot go wrong with a solid pair of OTK boots.
Only being 5’3″ I was initially worried at first that I wouldn’t be able to pull them off, but the truth is, this style is so flattering no matter your height and really helps to elongate your legs!
In the past I’ve struggled to find a “true” over-the-knee boot. While they may state they are OTK, there is nothing more disappointing than ordering a pair and finding that they barely hit the knee. With a shorter frame, I have found with experience that I need a shaft height of at least 22″.
My Stuart Weitzman boots pictured above are a 24″ shaft, and as an added bonus, they have the tie top to help them stay put no matter what! While they are the highest quality and worth the investment in my opinion, they are definitely that – an investment piece. (These also happened to be a birthday gift from my husband, who spoils me rotten on my birthday). They also happen to be majorly marked down this year!
Below, I’ve handpicked some more affordable options, and of course some statement pairs as you know I love 😉
1. Jessica Simpson Londy Over the Knee Boot
3. Marc Fisher Pagie Over the Knee Boot
5. Rumor Velvet Block Heel Over the Knee Boot
6. Marc Fisher Alinda Over the Knee Boot
7. Stuart Weitzman Highland Boot
Which pair is your favorite?
