Well, it finally happened. Everyone warned me it would, and I vehemently denied it all along. But its time to face the facts and come out with it already.
I’ve become a flats girl.
WAIT. I’m not saying I’m NOT a heels girl anymore. I just mean that I’ve started wearing flats & slides occasionally and I’m kinda liking it. What I used to buy strictly for commuting on long walks, I’m now buying as outfit staples.
Why the change?
Two reasons I’m into Slides & Flats
One. Hauling everything that comes with two kids, 2 and under is no small feat. Throw in a kid that is 110% wild boy who loves to run away from me or throw temper tantrums at any given moment and heels just become an actual nightmare. I’ve come so close to twisting my ankle so many times that it was time to get a *tad* bit more practical. So, if its a weekend, and we are out and about doing something with the kids, you better believe I have something on that is comfortable (or atleast reduces my risk of needing to go to the hospital).
Two. Flats & slides have become SO cute lately. Maybe I had my blinders on all these years, but it seems like designers have seriously upped their game lately and I cannot get enough of mules, slides, & loafers!
Of course, I’m obsessed with all of the leopard slides. But I’ve recently fallen in love with these adorable woven slides, which are perfection for Spring looks. I was worried about how comfortable they would be, since they kinda look like a wicker basket lol, but the second I slipped them on, I was so incredibly satisfied. The leather material really gives, and they even have a cushioned feeling when you walk, making me want them in all colors. They are that comfortable!!
